Pareto Systems, Inc. (“Pareto,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit the Pareto marketing website and landing page (the “Site”).

The Site is intended for users in the United States.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to the Pareto product or services, which will be governed by a separate privacy policy when available.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

• Your email address when you join the Pareto waitlist;
• The location on the Site from which you submitted the waitlist form, such as the hero or footer; and
• Any other information you choose to include when contacting us.

When you submit the waitlist form, Google Forms also records the date and time of your submission.

We use Google Forms to collect waitlist submissions and Google Sheets to store the responses associated with those submissions. These services are provided by Google LLC.

The waitlist form is not embedded on the Site. Google does not receive information through the form when you merely browse the Site. Google receives information submitted through the form when you submit it.

In connection with a form submission, Google may also receive standard technical information associated with the request, such as your IP address and browser user agent.

You can browse the Site without providing your email address or other personal information.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our hosting provider or other service providers. This may include:

• IP address;
• Browser type and version;
• Device type and operating system;
• User agent string;
• Referring website or URL;
• Pages viewed;
• Date and time of access; and
• Other technical, usage, and diagnostic information.

We use this information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, understand how the Site is used, and diagnose technical issues.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the website or link that brought you to the Site, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser and device type, and whether you submit the waitlist form. It does not receive the email address you enter.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser across visits. See Section 4 for details, including how to opt out.

Google processes this information on our behalf. Google may also use it for its own purposes, as described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain the Site;
• Manage the Pareto waitlist;
• Respond to inquiries and communications;
• Send updates about Pareto, including product announcements, launch information, and other communications you have requested;
• Contact you when the Pareto product becomes available, including to invite you to create an account or participate in a beta or early-access program;
• Improve the Site and user experience;
• Measure and analyze how visitors find and use the Site;
• Monitor Site performance, security, and reliability;
• Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use information collected through the Site to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Email Communications

If you provide your email address, we may use it to send you updates about Pareto, including product news, feature announcements, launch information, and invitations to participate in beta or early-access programs.

If you join the waitlist and later create a Pareto account, we may use the email address you provided through the Site to create or populate your product account. From that point forward, use of that information will be governed by the Pareto product privacy policy.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us using the information below.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not necessarily delete your information from our records. To request deletion of your information, please contact us as described below.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies required for the Site to load, function, and operate securely.

The Site also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to recognize your browser across visits and to measure how the Site is used. These cookies are set for the Site only. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and the Site does not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising purposes.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.

Because the waitlist form is not embedded on the Site, Google does not receive information through the form when you merely browse the Site. Google receives information submitted through the form when you submit it.

Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your device when you visit a website. You may configure your browser to reject or delete cookies, although doing so may affect certain Site functionality.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no widely accepted industry standard for interpreting them.

The Site does not currently permit third parties to collect personal information about your activity across other websites through the Site.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We also do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable California privacy law.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the Site and our business, such as website hosting, form processing, email delivery, and other technology providers. These providers may process information on our behalf for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We use Google Forms to collect waitlist submissions and Google Sheets to store the responses associated with those submissions. These services are provided by Google LLC. We also use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to measure how the Site is used, as described in Sections 1 and 4.
• Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
• Business transactions. If Pareto is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient of such information to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy with respect to information collected before the transfer, or provide notice and an opportunity to delete your information before any materially different practices apply.

6. Data Retention

We retain your waitlist email address for as long as you remain on the Pareto waitlist, unless you request deletion of your information earlier.

If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will no longer send you marketing emails, but your email address may remain on the waitlist unless you also request its deletion.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us using the information below. We will respond to deletion requests in accordance with applicable law.

We may retain information for longer periods where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.

Information submitted through the waitlist form may also remain in Google’s systems in accordance with Google’s applicable terms and policies.

Usage information collected through Google Analytics is retained for the period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it. Aggregated reports that do not identify you may be kept longer.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing electronic information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• Request deletion of personal information;
• Opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information where applicable, including analytics cookies as described in Section 4; and
• Exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available to you under applicable law.

To exercise a privacy right, please contact us using the information provided below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. For a waitlist email address, verification may generally consist of confirming control of that email address.

We will respond to requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party websites before providing them with personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on the Site and update the Effective Date above.

If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or disclose personal information that you have already provided, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
